Companion Class

A new in-home class for friends, family members, usher staff which includes: preparing foods for one who is not eating; helping one to move safely and comfortably to a chair, church pew, car seat, up or down stairs, etc.; lifting one safely and comfortably in or out of bed, from the floor, from a chair. Wish List

Volunteers

Many of our patients love to have someone read to them. Also, we are always in need of Readers for our church services (held Sunday and Wednesday afternoons). Volunteers who read to patients may schedule regular visits or may serve on an on-call basis. Volunteers serving as First or Second Reader serve in rotation about once every two months. 2011 Annual Meeting

Sunrise Haven's 2011 Annual Meeting was held on Sunday, March 20th at 2:00 pm at First Church Mercer Island. Beverly Foltz, CS, of Fox Island, was the guest speaker. Our Spring 2011 newsletter highlights her talk and recent activity at Sunrise Haven. The newsletter is now available to download as a pdf.
