Financial Considerations

Financial Assistance or Benevolence. Through loving contributions from fellow Christian Scientists, financial assistance or benevolence is available to those unable to pay the full cost of Christian Science nursing care. The Sunrise Haven Benevolence Committee reviews assistance requests monthly. At your request, we will give you an application to submit for the committee's consideration.

Medicare. Sunrise Haven is certified by Medicare, which means that Medicare provides payment for some services at Sunrise Haven, according to Federal guidelines. For details, see our FAQ "How does Medicare work at Sunrise Haven?"

Neither Medicaid nor HMO's cover the costs of care at Sunrise Haven.
