Sunrise Haven's building features a unique, contemporary blending of rural
American and Asian characteristics that fits unobtrusively with the homes that
surround it. The front porch reaches out to provide a welcoming image to the
neighbors and those passing by.

Inside, the central Nurses' Station is at the heart of the facility, with the
patient rooms and activity areas circling around it. Artwork donated by local
artists and others in the Sunrise Haven family grace the walls. The homelike
atmosphere is warm, peaceful, light, and harmonious.
The Day Room features a gas fireplace with comfortable sitting area;
our library with a complete set of bound volumes and other books; a piano
for musical activities; and our light and gracious dining area. On many
evenings this room is used for viewing videos.

Patients and guests come together for delicious, "home-cooked" meals,
lovingly prepared by our dedicated kitchen staff.
In a private alcove, guests use a computer for research in Concord and
"Found Volumes" and for access to the Internet.

The facility is designed for maximum privacy of patients and guests.
Oil paintings of Washington scenes and fresh flower arrangements complement
furnishings carefully chosen for comfort, quality, and their non-institutional
appearance.
Each room has a private bath with amenities conducive to patient care.
Outside, plantings utilizing many native species display a variety of color
and texture throughout the seasons. A walkway with railing along the west garden
aids in enjoyment of the fresh air and outdoor setting.
A striking fountain complements the colorful plantings on the north terrace.
A second terrace to the west acts as a visual gateway to the peaceful setting of the
adjacent city park. The park contributes the sweet sound of children playing
and offers the opportunity for a refreshing morning's walk or evening's amble.
